Terms of Service

Last updated: March 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Gemhog (gemhog.com). By using the website or joining the waitlist, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Service Description

Gemhog is currently a public website and waitlist for an upcoming mobile app focused on investment podcast source discovery. The website lets visitors sign up for product updates, verify their email address, and unsubscribe.

Gemhog is NOT investment advice, a trading platform, a financial advisor, a broker-dealer, or a regulated financial service. All content is for informational purposes only. See our Financial Disclaimer for details.

2. Waitlist Registration

  • Joining the waitlist requires a valid email address
  • We may ask you to verify your email address
  • You are responsible for any activity associated with links sent to your email
  • Notify us of any unauthorized use: hello@gemhog.com
  • Waitlist access is personal and non-transferable

3. Early Access

  • Joining the waitlist does not guarantee product access, launch timing, or a specific feature set
  • We may invite waitlist members to early-access testing at our discretion
  • We may change, pause, or discontinue waitlist and early-access programs at any time

4. Subscription and Payment

Gemhog does not currently sell paid subscriptions through the public website. If we introduce paid plans later, we will publish updated terms and pricing before collecting payment.

5. Cancellation and Refunds

  • You may unsubscribe from product-update emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in those emails
  • Because there are no current paid subscriptions on the public website, there are no current subscription refunds to administer

6. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Redistribute, resell, or sublicense content from Gemhog
  • Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access or extract content
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
  • Use the service for any illegal purpose
  • Impersonate other users or third parties
  • Interfere with service operation or security

7. Intellectual Property

  • Gemhog platform, design, and aggregated content structure are owned by Paul-Jasper Sahr
  • Podcast content and other source material belong to their respective creators and owners
  • Your waitlist information belongs to you
  • Feedback and suggestions you provide may be used to improve the service without obligation

8. Limitation of Liability

  • Public information about podcasts, source material, or markets may be incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated
  • Gemhog is NOT responsible for any investment decisions you make based on content from the website or any linked source
  • The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind
  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, Gemhog's liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim
  • We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages

9. Data Protection

Your privacy matters. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how we collect and process your personal data. By using Gemhog, you acknowledge our privacy practices.

10. Changes to the Service

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We will provide reasonable notice for material changes that affect registered users when practical.

11. Changes to These Terms

  • We may update these Terms from time to time
  • Material changes will be communicated by email when practical
  • Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms
  • If you disagree with updated Terms, you may stop using the service and unsubscribe from emails

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. For consumer disputes, you may also have rights under the laws of your country of residence.

13. Dispute Resolution

First, please contact us at hello@gemhog.com — most issues can be resolved informally.

EU Online Dispute Resolution: The European Commission provides an online dispute resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr

Court jurisdiction: Oldenburg, Germany. EU consumers retain the right to bring claims before courts in their country of residence.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force.
